Weaving Life and Policy

Anya Kapoor, Niamh Goodwin & Harris Lerner

Hear Anya, Niamh & Harris, Wednesdays 6-7pm

Over the course of an hour, Anya, Niamh and Harris explore and analyse how certain policies impact the lives of KCL students, often in ways that they may not realise!

Each week a new policy topic is introduced with a nationwide overview and how it specifically affects KCL students, followed by some light-hearted personal anecdotes, and concluding with tips and tricks on how to get by and make the most out of life at university!

... but here's how they describe their show:

"Each week, we tackle a different theme, such as housing policy and its relevance to student house hunting, the housing crisis, and living conditions (e.g. issues like mould).

The topics will vary each week, allowing us to address timely issues, such as current political events or student-related matters relevant to that time of year. As global health and social medicine students, we’ll conclude each episode by highlighting how these policies influence the socio-economic conditions and physical/mental health of the student body.

To lighten the mood after discussing heavier topics, we include an entertainment segment at the end of each show, where we share humorous anecdotes from our early student days — reflecting on moments where we made mistakes or wished we had known better!

This segment will offer both lighthearted advice for freshers and stay relevant by tying the stories to that week’s theme."
